Did you notice that the new NAM (32) involves a double whammy of archives.  You have to unpack the second file, then run the installer.

When you originally download NAM 32, you must have noticed that the expansion of the first archive was another archive.  Expanding the second archive produces the executable installer.  You don't move this into your plugins, but just run it.

What are we talking about, anyway? Do you mean the installer for the Building Architect Tool (BAT)? Or is there a software called "BAT Installer" that I am not aware of? Or do you mean the installer EXE of a BAT that you downloaded? When you have problems with a software or download, it's best to link to it so everyone can be sure what it is exactly that you are talking about.

Sorry, some days I just don't read properly.

The BAT needs to have some preconditions.  Since it is a supplement to gmax (1.2) from turbosquid, this must be installed and activated before attempting to install the BAT.  Activation includes calling gmax at least once and setting it up, including getting the password from turbosquid.

The BAT won't install easily, if at all, on structures set up by Origin or Steam.  It expects the layout from loading from CD (everyone else uses it as well), and doesn't seem to be able to adapt to other situations.  EA/Maxis disowns this product.
