Played in the Beta Stress Test and now playing in the Closed Beta. Anyone else in the Beta? If anyone has questions, I will try to answer. Keep in mind that I am a WoW newbie though

World of Warcraft is a pay-to-play MMORPG similar to Everquest. The lore of World of Warcraft is based on the Warcraft franchise. For those interested and with a subscription to Fileplanet, you can check the beta out this week during a stress test. The open beta will be beginning soon as well. Since the open beta is coming to a close, it seems fitting to dig up this thread. Did anyone here participate? Is anyone going to buy the retail version?

I'm going to buy the retail tomorrow, it should be pretty cool I didn't get picked for the closed beta, and was too late for the signups for the open betas (who knew half a million people could sign up in 1 day!?!?)

I expect to play a Priest or Druid, possibly a Mage. Blizzard always makes excellent games, I'm looking forward to it

I bought the retail on the 23rd, played up to lv 9. I'm surprised there aren't more people playing.

Hopelessly addicted I have a half-dozen characters spread over a few servers. My main is Larsz on the Hellscream server if anyone else browsing here is playing. If you are on the Hellscream server send me a tell or mail. Never thought that I would pay a monthly fee to play a game, but dang, if this game just isn't the bees knees.

The frostwolf server is hell on DSL though.
