Can someone point me In the direction of changing my sim city 4 to left hand drive?

I have searched the forum to no avail and could only find a broken link. :(

I'm running the mac steam aspyr version and Im trying to pull over all my mods and cities from my region that I've piled hundred of hours in on the pc... that was left hand drive and now all my cities are broken | :(

thanks in advance, and sorry if I'm repeating a thread but I did look (hard) first.

I have the NAM mod installed as left hand drive (as I had on my pc) however the game is still right hand drive. Unless I missed something the NAM mod only gives you the option of what side of the road for the mods, not the game.

I think the driving side has to do with the language or locality you select when installing the game. I believe that if you select US English, it'll be RHD; but if you select British English, it'll be LHD. I'm not totally sure about this, though. Could someone else confirm or deny this?

I've been wondering about this too. I just got the steam version for my MBP but you don't go through the same installation process as the Windows disc version..

You only get to select the language 'English', you don't get the option to select US or UK

Well then, I don't know how you'd change the driving side from RHD to LHD. I know that on windows you can do something in the registry to change the game from LHD to RHD on the fly, but the Mac has no registry, so yeah.

Yeah I found this post on steam : (http://steamcommunity.com/app/24780/discussions/0/558748653735671149/). Like you said to amend the registry but I have no idea what the mac equivalent would be or even where to look.

To solve this you have to start the game directly without Steam.

Browse to the folder SimCity 4 Deluxe in it find and rename the English folder by exactly UKEnglsh without the "i".

Put in the command line to start the game exactly this option: -l:"UK Englsh"

    run the game directly.

There is a mod to adapt the traffic signals with LHD but it is for the network default the game.

As for the NAM you can read more about LHD at the address posted above!

If you get tired of Aspyr limitations may be interesting to take a look at these two:

I have done as suggested and renamed the folder and it dose trick sim city into LHD. I say trick because although the cars now drive on the left, all road signs and lights are still in RHD. I also ended up with some broken junctions, however this may have been mod related. Any ideas for correcting the road signs/getting sim city in native LHD?

Could have read the above post rather than go the hard way.
