I was wondering what video capture software most members use I would like to do some U-drive it videos but not sure as to how difficult it is to record to record I play the game from an older desk top with xp . Also it is not hooked up to the internet

I use Open Broadcaster Software. It's free, but does a good job. You will need to have some way of transferring the videos to another computer to upload them onto YouTube. Since video files can get pretty big, I'd suggest using an external HDD with a Firewire or USB 3.0 cable to transfer stuff onto that hard drive and then move it over to your main computer. Otherwise, copying it to and from that hard drive will take a lot longer...
