Need help extracting buildings on macbook

Hi, I was trying to get the eiffel tower in my game and when I try to extract it using the unarchiver it says that it was unable to do so.

 

Can somebody help me?

These files don't need to be extracted with Unarchiver because they are in the correct formats that the game can read. Only .exe installers are what you have to use Unarchiver for. Any files in the formats .dat, .sc4lot, .sc4model, or .sc4desc can just be unzipped from the zipfile and put into your plugins folder.

Well, that's the problem you can get with some of these installers. Try running the installer on a Windows computer and then copy the installed files over to your Mac. If you don't own a windows computer or a copy of Windows, I'd suggest downloading something like Wine and then using it to run the installer. Wine will actually allow you to run almost any program for Windows, and it's free and doesn't require an actual version of Windows to run, unlike Parallels.

i know this may be a stupid question but can you go into more detail on what u need to do when a file is in the format of the first picture posted

in other words how do u unzip these files

To unzip the files, use a program like 7zip, which is free. There is a version for Macs; just read the download page carefully and you should be able to find the link to download the Mac version.
