Traffic visual problem.

So starting today I've been having an issue with traffic systems. Lights at intersections for example come up as oddly colored, bright shades of things such as blue and red striped overtaking the actual colors. And automata and pedestrians do not appear at all. (Though after looking at it, civic automata does appear, but even there a number of those vehicles have the same color visual errors as the intersection lights). No other things in the game have errors: the game recognizes that the automata is there, it just doesn't display it. My city has had no population drops, no buildings get abandoned due to commute time after any of this, nothing like that (and I let it run for a year to see.)

 

I removed all the plugins I installed over the last three days but that doesn't appear to have helped. Any advice?

It might be a renderer problem. Are you using hardware, software or OpenGL?
