Sunrunner bay region

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place to ask my question. Feel free to move it to the right place if this is the case.

I started a new region and chose Sunrunner Bay. As my first city I chose corsair coast because I wanted to mine the resources. According to the maps I should be able to mine all three, coal, oil and ore. So when it was time to start mining I wanted to start with oil. So I tried the oil well ( not sure if its called that). When I held the well over the biggest black spot it said "no oil available". Plopped the well anyway but nothing happend so I bulldozed it. Then I plopped a oil plant and it gave me power so there has to be oil.

The second issue I had was that when I held the coal mine above the grey spot of coal it told me there was 0.9 ton coal, but when I held the mine above a white spot it told me there was 129.9 ton coal.

Is this region broken or bugged? Anyone else encountered this?

If you use Orion, that's must be the case, Orion (3k extended) cause the offset values for all map details.

I'm sorry. I'm not English so I don't understand what it means exactly. The use of Orion shifts the spot to somewhere else? Or changes the amount available to mine?

    Hi diddl,

What yayie is telling, is that the ressources maps are there but they are not put on screen at the right place. So what you see is not what is really there. It is the same for pollution and land values maps.

To give you an example, suppose I moved you 100 meters outside your house with your phone, but when I check with a GPS system, it still continue to tell me you are in your house. That is what's happening With Orion, city coordinates area had been changed, but the ressources maps still use the old ones

Hope you understand when they say Orion is a "broken" mod. We are fooling the engine, but not everything are working right at this moment. It is still a work in progress to make it better.

    Pinky!

Now I understand. So with Orion I have to hold the well/mine over the entire map and when the indicator tells me the amount I can assume the oil/ coal/ ore is in that spot?

Sorry for asking my question trice. I just want to make sure I understand correctly.

    Thank you
