I think I joined a while ago (I've never posted under this username before) but never really got into using the forum. I used to play Simcity 4 a lot, and thanks to the tutorials of Vbackseatromeo (I think) on Youtube, I've  been able to get skyscrapers by myself. I've seen plenty of videos with custom buildings and cool infrastructure but never really got into mods because at the time I had no idea how to use them, install them, etc.

 

I just rebought the game and am hooked onto it once again! What subforum can I use to showcase my new vanilla city (I'm thinking of using mods very soon!)

You could try a City Journal (see tabs at top of page) or use the SC4 City Building Concepts subforum (if you have a particular theme).

Things have changed quite a bit since the early days of the game.  I hope what you have is one of the digital download editions (1,1,641).  If you loaded the game from CDs, you need a couple of published patches to bring your game into line with modern custom content.

Thanks for the replies! I'm glad that a 2003 game still has some dedicated players.
