Suddenly the game lags after 515 hours of gameplay

Hy Simtropolisers, 

 

my Simcity game has started lagging for no reason, fps is around 7 with luck, it's really frustrating because I have already played the game for over 510 hours and now the game is starting to act horrible. Before, I was able to play on ultra settings, now I have to set all the settings to minimum. I've searched forums but I couldn't find a solution, I've updated my graphics card and playing on the lowest settings isn't fun anymore, I hate it actually. Is there no other solution? Thanks.

 

My specs are:

Windows 8.1 Pro

64-Bits

Intel Core i3 CPU

4 GB RAM

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

 

Proof of high resolution gameplay as it was before the lag attached

 

EDIT: I already have reinstalled the game without mods, but it hasn't helped

If Im not mistaken, someone had this problem as well and what they did to solve this is by adjusting the Tilt-Shift camera.

 

Go to settings > Graphics > Toy around with the tilt-shift set it to Less. Tilt shift doesn't drop the image quality only effects how the camera view the city from odd closeup view. (that's photography explanation) but yeah I hope it does fix your problem.

Hmmm, it didn't change much.The game is still lagging constantly...

Is your CPU being overworked? That's how it is with mine. When I play SimCity, I can hear my CPU working to try and maintain the settings I have set for SimCity.

 

Have you downloaded any new games onto your PC lately?

Yes, there are many installed, but how can it affect my CPU? Should I uninstall some? I wil try to delete the unneccesary.

Yeah try not to overload your computer with games and stuff. It'll slow down games like SimCity.

I tried, I only have Simcity and Sims 3 with all the extra stuff installed now. I've run ccleaner, deleted about 70 Gb and still

 

I've tried to set all maximum settings and checked my task manger and did the same with the lowest settings, not even a difference in amount of RAM and processor use!

Okay, I've changed to medium settings(also lightning and shadows) and lowest resolution. The good news is the game isn't lagging, probably because my resolution is 1024x786 instead of 1600x900. But I have a far bigger problem now : 

 

Yeah I can't see any land in any region. Please help, it's driving me crazzzzyyyy

Did you try closing out of your game and then re-entering?

yea, I tried, but it is getting worse now. I'm going to re-install the game again and see the result.

Really, I'm at a loss at this point try contacting EA/Maxis support and see if they can help you.

I found it!!! I didn't need do delete all my games from my pc and stuff (but it was a good clean anyway) I saw that one of my video cards was disabled! I don't know how, but it's fixed now. 

 

 

As you can see (not now) my AMD card was disabled!
