i have re-install my pc with windows 7 32 bit. And later i install simcity 4 deluxe edition. when i start the game it looks like he start. but i see differend collors and he will crash to the desktop.

it is verry frustrating!! help me please!

There are a few good reasons why that might happen:

 

1. You haven't reinstalled or updated your video / graphic card drivers.

2. You may need to get the Simcity 4 patches which i believe can be retrieved from here

3. For this one i would need to know why you chose to reinstall your windows 7.  You could have a memory problem in which case you would want to run a memory scan. Look here for info

4. Perhaps you need to uninstall Simcity 4 Deluxe and reinstall it.

5. Last thing i can think of is scratched disks in which case you will need to buy new ones, borrow a friends, or purchase a digital copy from somewhere like amazon.

i have bought the game on origin and i can't patch the game, origin said that the game is up to date.

the video drivers are also up to date.

So, have you tried editing the target command line to add the parameter -CPUCount:1? This limits the game to one core; it cannot run on more than one or else it can be prone to crashing. This was what I was trying to get at when I linked to those other two threads, btw.

 

To explain a little better, you basically right-click on the shortcut for SC4 on your desktop, and then select "Properties." Go to the shortcut tab, and in the "Target" text field, add the commands to the end, after the path. Here's an example of my target command line:

 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -w -r1366x768x32 -intro:off -CPUPriority:high -CPUCount:1 -d:DirectX

 

The -w means to run the game in windowed mode (-f is used to run it in full-screen mode). The next parameter tells the computer what resolution to run the game at, necessary if you have a widescreen monitor. The 1366x768 part is the resolution, while the x32 part means 32-bit color. (you may also need the -CustomResolution:enabled parameter) Intro:off is pretty self-explanatory; -CPUPriority:high tells Windows that running SC4 is the most important thing for it to do. CPUCount:1 is what I'm getting at; setting it to anything different can cause the game to frequently crash because it is a single-threaded game that cannot handle running on more than one core. Finally -d:DirectX tells it to use DirectX for 3D rendering (essentially the same as the in-game "hardware rendering" option) or you can set it to -d:Software for software rendering. There's other commands you can use but these are the most important ones.

the problem is solved. 

I had indeed forgotten to update my drivers so I let driver booster iobit twist and install the drivers, and he does it again.
