How do I put reconcile edges settings to default?

Hey,thanks for for reading, I have quite a few mods on my game so I'm not sure which one messed with the settings, but when I reconcile edges to terraform a city, it reconciles so close to the edge that it's a real pain in the rear to terraform anything even close to even with the neighboring cities. I noticed this after I installed NAM, but it could have been from another mod, not sure. Is there a way to revert or restore the rec. edge settings/file back to it's default/original state without completeley uninstalling and then reinstalling the game? Help would be much appreciated, thanx. https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=722678611111212&set=a.183499968362415.43440.100001072407139&type=1&theater

The link is no good.  Probably needs permissions set.

Reconcile edges is independent of any mods.  I have it turned off since in a developed city it causes a force 9 earthquake.  Edge reconciliation should only be used when you first open a city.

BTW, facebook images usually don't work because the board software wants a proper file extension to interpret the file.

The file that controls edge reconciliation is the main file found in Terrain Mods.  With no viewable picture, it's unclear to me whether you are talking about the heighth or width effects.

When you get a message saying "you need to reconcile edges," just check the box that says something like "don't ask me again. I'll use the 'reconcile edges' button." That way it will stop pestering you about this.

You can also change this option in the "Play Options" dialog box. I think it's the button to the right of the graphics settings or the music button in the game menus. In this Play Options dialog box, you can also disable the advisor messages so that you won't get pestered about your teachers being on strike while you're busy working on a road. (it will still warn you about fires or other disasters, though)
