greetings fellow mayors.

I bring you greetings from a very cold Tasmania lol.

I have been reading and downloading a few mods for this game. I can say I love the work you modders are doing, especially skystorme I think his name is. I took his advice on making a cash cow city..after a little work i'm now clocking about 50,000 simoleons an hour..education people and lots of rich workers lol

I've been playing SimCity since simcity 2000. however with this one I didn't get on board straight away like most because I refuse to be forced online to play a game..and i'm glad I missed all the hassles you guys had regarding servers things not working and so on (yes I've been doing ALOT of reading lol).

so a big thankyou to the modders out there who make mods for this game. I've done modding for games in the past. and I can say deep respect to you for the things you guys are fixing, it's a big help.

my biggest gripes for this game are

never enough workers.. or like I've been having I had too many level $$ workers and not enough level $ and $$$.

traffic, it's just awful you get so many cars coming and going it's completely insane...

the great works, work great for each region that they have cities connected to. I completed the airport the other night, only to find it didn't service the whole region, i'm playing titan gorge it has 4 great works and 16 cities. and yes i'm playing offline...

well big hello and thankyou to all the guys and girls out there who are making this game a little less frustrating and little more fun

cheers

Welcome ausmayor,

One way to ease traffic that I can think off aside from having mass transit is to have your residential bought by Omega. So that your shoppers wouldn't need to travel to commercial district/zones. (if you go for Omega) - Omega is very profitable actually, not as much as gambling specialization (in one of Syke Storme's videos - I will give it a try that soon) but Omega is a good start.

Maglev suits well for all mass transit needs.

I have a city with 330k low wealth residential and the traffic is all green because of Omega. Quite happy with it for now.

Welcome from another Australian mayor,

if you have not already downloaded the UDON mod, give it a try, I am successfully managing traffic now in high population cities that would have been crippled by traffic previously, this mod allows me ultimate control over fast and flowing traffic.

Big thanks to XOXIDE for his outstanding mod

I'm nowhere near Australia, but I work night shift in the USA so I'm on that schedule. :)

While we in the northern hemisphere feel your pain about the cold, we appreciate you sending the sun back our way, and we'll start sending it back to you in late June, promise.  Trust me, we had a helluva winter here, and certainly deserve some warm weather.
