Storage Lots full

Hi everyone. Having an issue that might resolve itself. I am trying for the Mining headquarters for coal, have about six coal mines, but no matter what i do they are always full, but i cannot seem to reach the mark needed for the advance on the headquarters. I now have 6 mines all with full trucks allowed, and three trade depots with all the trucks and coal storage lots allowed.

        The problem is that i cannot seem to raise the daily profits number, but i dont know why. I have added three working coal mines and one trade depot, and the daily profits number stays the same, if not less sometimes.

You might need more coal storage lots which might mean you need more depots. You also have to set them to export.

If storage is at capacity the last thing you need to do is build more coal mines. You need to build more trade depots so the coal thats being mined will have somewhere to wait until its picked up by the global market

If your storage lots are full, make sure they are exporting and add more delivery trucks to the trade depot, adding more coal storage to a depot with existing coal lot won't do anything to increase your profit. You need trucks to move them out of the city to earn export money.

 

If your lots are still full after you've maxed out your trucks, you need to either add more trade depot or trade port. Also, make sure your highway entrance isn't having a traffic jam, that can cause a drop in export efficiency.

 

Finally, coal is a very low value commodity. It ranges anywhere from 3-5k per 10 tons. A max out coal mine with 4 modules can produce 120 tons per day, that's 36-60k per coal mine. You might need to get more to unlock the higher level HQ with just coal alone.

thanks guys, it was actually the price of coal dropping due to my overexcavation. Had to build a nuclear plant to create the power needed, but my workers were too stupid to run it. I went to another city in the region and built up the mining headquarters so now i can specialize the coal.
