Regarding residential housing from BAT

I read in a thread on this site. A poster said something about BAT residential generates sims but doesn't allow them to return home. I would assume that is not good for the numbers. Is this true?

I don't know what you are referring to.

 

Anyway, residential BATs work just like Maxis residential buildings. In terms of function, everything is 100% the same.

 

What doesn't work is ploppable residential buildings (selected from the menu like landmarks or parks). I don't know where you got the "doesn't allow Sims to return home" part, but that's not true. The problem with ploppable residential buildings is that Sims cannot leave the lot. Hence they cannot find a way to their job, and the building will abandon.
