[SUGGESTION] Improving Players Regions and Kicking out Bad Mayors

The first thing you are probably thinking is: "This is stupid because people would then just create regions, wait a while, then purposely delete cities who had some time spent into them".

There are many ways to either: prevent, discourage, and warn ------ directly or indirectly to other players of potential abusers of the system. READ BELOW for more for some great suggestions I thought of.

The idea is a Point system. Where if a person creates good cities, he earns a certain percentage of points. If he abandons a city or claims a city and never builds upon itt and leaves it to rot so other players cannot claim that unused city, he will lose a certain percentage of points. The higher the Points you have, the more trustworthiness you will have when playing with other active players.

There will be two Point Systems:

(1)One to determine the potential quality of a player, it will be called "Creation Points"

(2)The other to determine the activeness of a player, it will be called "Activity Gauge"

And a system to track SimHours, or total amount of playing gametime.

                RULES on Creation Points:

                ----------------------------------

                (A) If a person abandons a city he will lose a certain amount of points. Only a certain amount because if a player does not continue playing and wants to abadon the city so a new player can join, he can do so without fear of losing a lot. Losing points will only be a deterent so a player won't just simply join a bunch of regions at once. I say only a certain amount, because I do not know what would be an appropriate amount to lose so that it would be a good enough deterent to stop a player from constantly joining and abandoning cities/regions, but not too much to make the player hate the game.

                 (B) If a person creates decent, good, or successful city, he will earn Points. Since success is a relative term, many factors and variables would have to be implemented to determine how well or active a player is, whether or not he helps his fellow players in the region and so on.

© If a person claims a city, but never builds upon it, improves it, uses it, or rarely uses it, then that person will lose a substantial amount of points.

                 (D) A bad player can obtain an unlimited number of negative points, examples: -4439 points, -913 points, -11700 points.

A good player can obtain a unlimited number of positive points, examples: 359 points, 17430 points, 7582 points.

Maximum limit of Creation Points will exceed up and down to the point of -50,000 and 50,000 points.

RULES on Activity Gauge and Simhours:

                  ---------------------------------------------------

                  (A) Players will obtain an activity gauge to show how much activity they've put into there city, in hours, upon claiming a city.

                  (B) If a player that was once very active stops playing so often, then his activity gauge will start to drop within the first week upon becoming decreasingly unactive.

© Activity Gauge ranking will be: Never, Rarely, Low, Medium, Average, Decent, High, Insane.

         Activity Gauge explained.

         ---------------------------------

So lets say he plays for 3-6 hours a day average, everyday for a week. Then that person will earn an Activity Gauge displaying how active he is, which would be A high amount of activity.

Lets also say there is another player who plays for 6 hours one day, but very little to none over the next week. That player will recieve an activity gauge of "low" or "rarely" depicting that they haved not played much recently.

         SimHours:

         ------------

If a person claims a city in a region on July 15, 2014. It will begin tracking a users play time everytime his city is running. So it would display in the users profile of how many hours a person has spent TOTAL in his cities playing, depicted in hours, days, and weeks. We will call this total time playing SimHours.

For example, a high active user would be displayed like this:

JohnDoe1232 (profile)

SimHours: 1 months, 3 weeks, 5 days, 14 hours

Activity Gauge: High

OR another player:

JaneDoe7657 (profile)

SimHours: 3 months, 3 weeks, 5 days, 14 hours

Activity Gauge: Low

TAKE NOTE: The example above shows that JaneDoe7657 has a lot of gameplay time, but very little Activity. That must mean she has put a lot of time into playing, but has been inactive for a period of time.

             POINT SEGREGATED REGIONS

             -----------------------------------------

Rules:

(A) Players can designate there regions to only allow people to join with a certain amount of Creation Points.

(B) There will be maximum and minimum limits.

For example, if a creator of a region wants only players with 1,500 Creation Points, then he can do so, so that players with lower creation points, or even negative creation points cannot join.

This will prevent Players from joining if they have a low amount, or even negative signifying that they are bad players because they claim a lot of cities then never develope them.

This system will ENCOURAGE players to become better and will allow legitimate players to group together who play a lot or have created a bunch of successful cities.

                 KICKING BAD MAYORS

                 -----------------------------

(1) Kicked by voting

(A) Have a voting system by al the players to kick. The voting box will have listed reasons why the player needs to be kicked.

(B) BAD MAYOR can only be kicked by 2/3 majority.

(2) Kicked by leader of region/Creator of region

(A) Creator of the region can give other select players a kicking ability, so that another player whom the region creators trusts can kick a bad mayor who is simply claiming a city and purposely making it useless to the region.

POST FEEDBACK on this idea. Whether or not it can be improved.

Sounds like a very nice idea :) I didn't find any flaws in the system. But I was scanning through it pretty fast, so I may have missed something.

I think the devs have already given up this game and move onto the next project. While I like the ideas, I don't think we will even get another bug fix patch for this game, let alone a rule changing feature like this. Maybe Sim City 6, if they will ever make one.

Ah :) don't say that. You don't know what's coming (hint-hint).
