Need help getting started

I just bought the game yesterday and have managed to install it. When I go through origin and select play it will launch the application but I don't see anything to select besides "View update" which takes me to a page that tells me I'm not authorised to view.

There is also the update bar which I'm guessing I need to complete before I can play, is that right? I don't usually play PC games so I have no idea what I'm doing so sorry for the dumb question! Also how big is update 10?

Yes you have to let the update bar go all the way to 100%. Then you'll click a button to the right which will restart the application and apply the update.

 

And I would assume that update 10 is of decent size because it contains offline mode and whatnot, but I'm not entirely sure.

Thanks! I looked so many places but haven't been able to find out how big the update is either. My internet is pretty slow so will take a few hours to download before I can play.

Well with offline mode once this update is done, you shouldn't have to worry about your slow internet connection but the first time through, you'll need it in order to access offline mode.

My connection is fine to play online, it's just slow to download. I tried to download last night and it had only done 25% in 30 mins so I'm guessing it's a few gigs at least.
