Anyone else having problems running the SC4 Mac re-release?  The game boots up fine but when I go to build it stalls and takes 30+ secs to build just a one tile road. GameAgent says my machine is more than capable.

Specs:

Mid 2010 iMac

2.93 GHz Intel Core i7

8 GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB

OS X 10.9.2

How do you install plugins in the re-release. There's no SimCity 4/Plugins folder automatically created in my Documents folder when it's installed from the App Store. I created one, tried installing some custom content in it but nothing showed up. I've been playing the game since 2003 and I collected tons of content before I gave the game up for dead in 2009. I really want to play my new Mac AppStore version and I want to start downloading from the STEX, but I can't for the life of me figure out where to install it. I haven't even begun to tackle installing my custom regions yet.

Any ideas?

The Plugins/Regions folder is now inside of a special folder, due to the sandboxing rules of the Mac App Store is should be here - ~/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/Data/Documents/SimCity 4/ (~ indicates you home folder)

The real plugins folder isn't in your actual documents folder, it's somewhat buried.

To get to it, you have to go to your account folder > Libraries (usually hidden by default, but fairly simple to unhide) > Containers > com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore > Data > Documents > Sim City 4 > etc.
