Installed SimCity 4. What did i forget?

I just re-installed SimCity 4 and the Rush Hour CD to my computer. I haven't played Sim City for a while now, and it has not been installed on my PC for a while. I installed the game, Rush Hour and a patch update. I also had a folder of all my downloaded mods, lots and regions on a portable hard-disk that i copied into the simcity-game-folders.

 

Since it's a while ago since i played the game, and since i installed it last time, i don't remember anymore what i need to do before i can play the game. I started the game, and quitted after like 10 minutes because there was some problem with the roads. Some of the road suddenly dissapeared, and when i wanted to construct it again at the same spot, i had a brown rectangle showing up where the road was supposed to be placed.

 

My question is really: I suspect I forgot something. Does anyone know what to download to make SimCity 4 Rush Hour to work properly after re-installing it to the computer? Do you know where I find what I need (the official site for SC4, where i usually updated the game, isn't there anymore)? I am using a lot of mods and downloaded stuff in the game.

 

Is it wrong prosedure to just copy the old plugin folder to the new game? Should I install it all properly (several hundred items)? It's not the first time i re-install SimCity, and I know it worked last time, and I more suspect I miss some patch or something.

No. Windows 7. I did play SimCity4 at this computer before. So, computer and operating system is no problem.

The one thing from your plugins folder you need to re-install manually is the Network Addon Mod.  It makes sense that your roads are the source of the problem.

I deleted the game, and re-installed it. I tought there might be a bug with the installation, so I was supposed to just drag my plugins in to the game again. Luckily i read your answer first, and i installed NAM manually. A small test showed that my specific problem is gone, and I can see there are other improvements too because of the updated NAM installation i took, instead of my old one i had backed up. Thank you a lot for your answer and help.

If you have both patches your game version should now be 1,1,640.
