No Job Zots Confusion

I'm hoping this isnt the wrong place to post this question/issue. If it is, apologies beeforehand.

Alright so I have this city going and its going well. Bringing in just over 10000 a month. almost 25000 people. Now, I'm starting to expand a little bit but just after I did, I'm getting no job zots. I dont get it because, each block has a bus stop and there is also adequate subway connections. The other main res area is slightly further away and is having no problems.
So here's what I'm looking at :
align=baseline>

So the green is my newer res area thats having problems finding work. Right above them is a newer mini commercial area so they dont have to go too far all the way over to my main commercial area(the larger blue circle) My main res area is in the top left/middle and they are having no problems. My Industry is the yellow circle in the bottom right. I also have a lot of transit connections to 4 - 5 other cities in the region. So why are they being so bitchy and lazy?

Thanks for your time

Please resize you image so it is more easily viewed.  The limit is 800x600 pixels

EDIT:  what is the job ratio to population of the city?

I also notice you have a brown box, you might want to resolve.

give them a main access connection to the industrial sector, such as an avenue like this below

First image edited. Sorry for the size.
I'll try the direct connection. But I still dont understand why they would need more of a direct connection when my main residential area is further away and they're fine...42.gif

And here's a pic of my job - population chart.
    Thanks Again48.gif

Thanks for doing the resize, it is much easier to see what is there.

It's a little hard to see the ratio from the graph, you may not have enough jobs.  Look at the city icon in the region view, it shows the ratio better.

EDIT: forget this part I just saw you have them [What you might try is to start a neighboring city like the one you have, that will help with all asspects.  I always use neighborhoods in a region, they seem to balance each other.]

A direct connection may help a little but it will not solve that many zots, if I am seeing it right.

So I'm not sure if thats what you mean or if I should start something iun the big city area to the north of it.

Also how can I correct the brown box issue?
    Thanks 1.gif

Yes, I saw the other cities later.  I could not tell if you have railroads connecting the cities.  They make exellent transits, for that, and for everything else, come to think of it.  Railroads, and buses are the first transit systems I put in.  Railroads are cheap transportation.

The brown box is caused by a missing dependency, prop, or dat file.  Query the box to see what lot it is, then check the readme file, or go to the page you downloaded it from to see what you are missing.

The main connections I have are rail and bus( as well as cars) I also have a subway mixed in there and have since started 2 other citys on the other side that have added some ferry transports.
Thanks for the advice for the box.

You're welcome, of course, and maybe all the loafers just need time to get a job.

It looks like they have gotten off of their arses and are now working happily. Of course thats after I made the 2 other neighbouring cities, upgraded my airport, and connected 4 of the cities via ferry on top of their already existing rail, bus, car and subway connections. *sigh*
The crap I go through for my people....21.gif

Yes, me as well, thanks to Tungstons wise advice.

I have a hard time, without my uniform grids in place.

    Thanks much Tungston!

You are indeed welcome, friend, although I am not sure what I have done for you.  We have had some good debates, and I think that is one of the best ways to gain knowledge.

Agreed. It annoys me to no end. Means that after all I've done so far, something (I've done)has fudged up.
