SimCity does not work in Windows Safe Mode?
When I try to open the SimCity in safe mode (normal mode on my PC no longer works) it just starts but does not continue, it disappears, as I seen in Task Manager.

There are ways to make it work in Windows Safe Mode?

Safe mode is designed for debugging the operating system not running applications.  What do you mean you can't run in user mode?  Are you having problems because you have not maintained your NTFS disk space?

Hello,

I'm having too many problems related to memory errors in user mode, and beyond that the system does not find dll's important. This happened a day after I install NAM on the computer, but I can not associate such errors to my action. I am looking for solutions to my problem, but something is wrong too. Meanwhile, I would not stop playing SimCity.

Memory problems?  What kind of memory problems?  Please describe your machine.  Perhaps you don't have enough resources to run this game?

 

Just started the game on another desktop and loaded a city.  Here are the memory stats from my system monitor.

 

Virtual memory allocated 1.8 GB

Real Memory in use 564 MB

Writable Memory 543 MB

Shared Memory 20 MB

 

Interpretation:

All data is approximate and rounded to the nearest unit.

 

While this system is very generous with swap space, none is being used.  The whole shebang fits in 562 MB of which some 20MB is the actual executable code (read-only).  The rest is the tables developed from the various .dat files and other plugins plus the city that is currently loaded.

 

The maximum memory for this program on this machine is 3GB (the 4GB patch is installed).  However, it appears that, after loading, the game doesn't need much memory compared to what's there.  This system has 4GB of which some 0.5 GB is shared with the graphics processor.

Safe Mode limits the processes that can run on your computer to the bare minimum; it probably doesn't allow the processes necessary for SC4 to run.

 

I would not suggest using a computer in Safe Mode for an extended period of time.  It needs fixed, otherwise it's junkyard material.
