I'm on a little trip to Ischia, Italy (heard of it? some may consider it Capri's big sister) and I wanted to show you some pictures taken today from the boat.

Naples' skyline (I would never had tohught that such an old city like Naples would have such a modern skyline!)

Ah, sunny Italy.  The twin peaks are surely not Vesuvius?  I thought it only had one peak.

I hear that Capri was not a nice place at the time of the emperors.  Apparently Caligula got his tuition from Tiberius there.  Used to toss people off the cliffs.

Actually, that's two mountains, and even though they're called Vesuvio, the one on the right is the Vesuvio itslef, while the one on the left is Monte Somma.

And, yes, you are right about Capri. The cliffs are called "I Faraglioni" (that might be a good one for the -city names- thread, right? :) )

Thanks for the clarification.  There is so much history in that area around Napoli, it must be hard to take just walking on the streets.  Was that city founded by the Greeks or were they confined to Sicilia?
