windows XP and NAM 32 question

just got my Emachines T5212 windows XP desktop up and going. SimCity 4 never played better My question is. Nam 32 wants Java updated for the controller. I have to use this computer offline can Java be updated offline? hope its ok to ask IT questions here I only use the machine for SimCity 4 as always thanks in advance

    Yes, Java can be updated offline.  Go to http://www.java.com and click on "Free Java Download".  On the next page, at the bottom of the lower left bar, click on "Try the offline installer".

    This may be the problem with my wine install.  I'll give the offline installer a try.
