just wanted to say first off love the mods for sc4 and sc5. I have been playing this game since the sc 3000 days and I do love this game a lot. But I do have two things to ask I was looking threw the mods for the airplanes and airports and I saw a lot of other files that I need when I click on them I brings me to a site I think it was scag or something like that how do I log  to get them. and has anyone after getting a city running  in sc4 or sc5  just let them run for days to see what happens without shutting down ur pc?  and are the stex dvd still being made? I would like to donate and get them hear soon if they are.

For openers there is no SC5.

Generally speaking, if you can play without a crash, you should be able to run indefinitely.  However, if you are building stuff, I'd take a save every 10 minutes or so.  Longest I've ever run this game in the background is about six hours, but my machine has now been up for 8 days, 21:29.

Your question about other sites is not specific enough.  What was the URL of the dependencies you tried to get?  There are two other exchanges commonly in use, and both are as safe as the STEX.

Yes, you can still get the STEX libraries.  Go to the donation page and use PayPal.

u deserve a run-on reply to that post, but I will refrain.

THERE IS NO SC5.  SimCity 2013 is not a successor in the sense that it expands SC4.  I call it Sims City because it is a throwback or reboot of the franchise in EA's view.  It does not continue the capabilities of SC4 in any way and merely drags a good name through the popular mud.

There is no guarantee that your game will not crash if left running for long periods, especially on that huge machine of yours.  You are taking a sledge hammer to a gnat.  This legacy program does need tender loving care, and frequent saves during periods of actual development.  You know, of course, that you cannot add anything to your game while it is running.  Plugins are loaded only at the start of the session.  If you are experiencing long start ups, I suggest looking into the DATpacker, and with considerable thought and care.

Airport or aircraft mods are available.  I advise looking at SC4Devotion for some of the better ones.
