Trains

Hey I am unaware of why my trains in the game have a yellow, black and white texture seeing in images that the trains are red and white. I have no train mods installed in my game, just re textured buildings, buses, cars and street cars. I am unaware if this is because of an update or something but they don't look all that nice

I'm pretty sure that's how all the trains in the game look now.  They changed when the expansion CoT came out. These trains are suppose to be futuristic trains to match the theme of the expansion.  If you want them to look different get a mod for trains because I don't think you can get the old train style back unless someone made a mod to allow you to.

There is an issue with the new trains and mods best fix for the issue is to remove all mods wait for them to be updated because that s the only solution to the problem that I know of

Those are the future trains from CoT expansion. You get them even if you don't have the expansion (Which I don't). They drive me nuts personally, I want the old trains back.

I'm pretty sure that's how all the trains in the game look now.  They changed when the expansion CoT came out. I have tried installing the TGV mod for the trains and im trying it again today. also the trains looked like that in my game before CoT came out

True, the trains changed when the patch right before the expansion came out.  They released the patch containing the expansion content before the expansion was released, probably to prevent what happened when the game was first released from happening again by making you download something to run the expansion.  Instead, by including it in a patch people can download it the next time they logged into SimCity.

 

Also I haven't tried any of the train mods, but I assume they work since the other mods work very well in my game (I have a Mac and PC but only play it on PC because I heard the Mac version has a lot of problems).  I always liked the look of the original train the best and didn't bother changing it when the expansion came out because I owned the expansion and figured it matched the theme better that way anyways.  Also I only used the German train stations anyways because those trains were so much faster than the original train station trains anyways.

Lol, reminds me of another problem I have with the German Train Station. For me they want to snap on roads not tracks. Its really damn annoying cause they look cool as $%&^!.

Is it possible that the issue with the trains still exists?

Because I did try to work first with the TGV then with the ICE Mods and I still have these ugly as hell futuristic trains ingame.

Is there a fix yet, or du we have to live with this?
