The Kennedy Anniversary - 50 years.

Those of us old enough to remember can tell you exactly where they were at the moment they heard this terrible news.  I was in the foyer to my office about to go to my desk after lunch.  The pattern of fluted glass in the doors to the EAM room is etched into my memory.

 

It was like a giant present had been taken from the world.

lots of events here today by the 6th floor museum/Elm Steet and Dealey Plaza

the lack of any of the living presidents attending  was a surprise to me.

My mother was only two when it happened. Us youngins only really have events like 9/11 to remember, some of which on this site probably don't.

I suspect the Secret Service doesn't want to risk it.  Within such an armed camp there is likely to be a copy cat or two.
