Story sandwhich game

Yes the name sounds strange, but the concept is simple. The person that posts gives only the beginning and the end of a story and the next post should think of everthing in the middle and how it gets to the end. Please put the beginning with your "filling" and the end right after. It could be as long or short as you want, but hopefully it would make sense. The beginning and end could be as absurd as you want. If anything, it is highly encouraged. It would cuase the next post to get creative on how the beginning gets to the end. After you are done writing your story, post a beginning and end for the next person. I'll start off.

 

The beginning: One upon a time, there was a man who sold lettuce for a living.

 

The end: He went off into the sunset, a great hero.

Middle: He ran into a store to buy lettuce, but the store was being robbed. He hit the guns out of the criminals' hands with lettuce, and then brought them down with a concentrated stream of yeast extract. Then, a conveniently timed horse rode past. He got on.

EDIT: Beginning: He threw the car into a building in rage.

End: He ate a car engine.
