RTMT glitching region view

Hello,

 

I recentlly had a system crash {not caused by sc4} and had to reinstall sc4 deluxe {steam download}. I also installed the mods I was running at the time of the crash. These are as follows: NAM and RTMTv3.5, the issue I am having is I get a big banner or box at the region screen of the city I am working on. I got it when I just ran RTMT then I removed all the RTMT items from my city and removed the mod. Although I still got the banner/box at region screen, after I deleted the city I added NAM and it played fine that I could tell. After I added the RTMT v3.5 I started having the same problem. I looked into updating to 3.60 but it looked like a pain in the butt and was a little confusing on what to delete from where.

 

I am attaching a screen shot of what I am seeing in region to help explain.

I've never seen this before.  And RTMT v3.5 doesn't have any boxes of that shape.

 

It sounds like this started happening only after your system crash - that RTMT was running fine before then.  In that case, I would suspect that the system crash corrupted some system files that SC4 uses.  If that's true, you may need to reinstall your system to get rid of this problem.

This is just an idea but it looks like a glitch happened when the game tried to save a screenshot of the city for the regional overview.

 

Try to go in to the city and save (ctrl+s) then exit to region (exit without save) and see if that helps. I get some similar glitch when I save a city and alt-tab out of the game while it is saving.

Z1 - I had reinstalled everything after the crash OS game mods apps I use ect. It was a complete reinstall!

The Ctrl S and exit worked great!

 

Now I got to try and find the London region since I deleted a city and it is gone from it now....

Glad it helped As long as you let the game have "focus" (not alt-tabbing) while it is saving the region view should update properly. So you can still use the "save and exit" feature.
