Always thought it was a shame maxis never used the roman casino thats been included in my game files for so, so long

    Thanks! It really bums me out, if you have checked the scripts the casino looks to be waaay nicer overall than the other casinos. 200 mw/200 hw 160k construction cost. Addons seem nicer too :(.

    I always figured Maxis was going to release the Roman Casino as DLC at some point.

    Me too :( but unfortunately not yet. I will most likely take down the conversion if they DO release the dlc.

    I personally don't think this should have been touched. Highly likely a future DLC, It looks like you're taking credit for their work!

    This will only annoy maxis/ea and probably make them less likely to cooperate in modding.

    Just my opinion

    I personally think you should read the mod description first before feeling like I might be taking credit :(

     

    edit: also, as I have mentioned else where this will be removed once the DLC for the casino is added in

    parking lot can be made menu placeable? prob serves no purpose apart from visual if it can be placed but a bit of variation for people

    Yup you can, but it technically does nothing when plopp'd (no visual either, but seems to destroy say zoned buildings). It seems to rely on using transforms of some sort (not 100% sure really, was a while since I came across that). It does seem like it could be used as a lead to other ideas.

    could be the rci was going to load the lots into one of its own props, the parking more of a decoration for them to 'own' than its own model as such. meaing the parking lots tranforms may relate to its parental box which it wont have when placed directly. it's there to destroy zoned underneath when its plop but no container box as such to stretch its visuals into.

     

    0xb7ca12c3 looks like its parent jumps straight up to near the top of the menu chain for parks, the same as the tree placement ring where model placement occurs elsewhere.

     

    might try duplicate one the landmark or park props for the menu but swap the duplicates model reference for the Parking lot model. well to test just straight swap the model for any plopable and if it shows up duplicate a T_Plop chain to house it. maybe park and ride, see if can have 2 variations graphically /shrug

     

    sc servers foobared at moment so cant do much :(  wanted to test out the wealth radius of parks :( see if its possible to have a super park and turn the whole map d2 or d3 with one plop

     

    edit, looks like the parking lot prop has eco path widths etc linked to it but the lot itself is not referenced by anything thats used. looks to me like RCI was going to own its own parking lot per building model with car capacity etc but was thrown out as an idea and the buildings own the car capacity and entry exit points rather than own a parking lot

    Playing from australia: Past 5hrs or so I've been getting the credentials error.

    Using a VPN (using OkayFreedom here) you can connect and play simcity.... go figure...
