    The link is not working. And correct if I'm wrong but I think airport pieces aren't functional. Or is it?

    With the puzzle-piece airports, the functional bit is the control tower; the rest is "eye-candy".  You could, if you so desired, plop the control tower with nothing else and have the mechanical equivalent of an international airport.
