Vanishing Cursors

Is anyone else suffering from the cursor vanishing during a game?

I use the sandbox mode and of late I notice that the cursor disappears never to return when I am accessing the population menu. Most annoying as a reboot is the only option that I'm aware of. It seems to be getting more common. Not a problem before Patch 5  was applied that I can recall.

I've had it a couple of times, but restarting the game fixes it.

I've also had mouse cursor corruption which I have to reboot to fix, but I get that on a few other games as well.

This has just happened to me for the first time. I'm a new player and have been learning a lot from these forums and peoples posts.

I clicked on the population number next to the hourly income / expenditure  numbers. I'm guessing thats the population window. I only found it about 5 minutes ago and boom, my curser had gone. Tried exiting the game, got back to the main menu minus the cursor only be totally clueless on where it was. In the end I had to do the Ctrl + Alt + Delete and shut the game down from there. Fortunately I had only just started my city, which is now gone as nothing was saved to the servers :-(

Does this happen every time on the population window?

And last question, is there a keyboard shortcut on the main screen to quit the games and save to the servers?

Thanks in advance :-)

Just a quick edit:- I've tried several times now going to the population panel. Each time the cursor disappears, so I'm guessing that it would be best to just avoid that panel for now.

This does happen, i've narrowed it down to in certain menus.  Close up all the menus (ESC) and right or left click.  One should bring your cursor back.

Cheers Rufus that works a treat :-)

Once my cursor had disappeared I pressed Esc to shut the menu down, then pressed right button on the mouse a few times and my cursor came back.

I've noticed that one the population window is open as long as I don't move the cursor over the open window I keep the cursor. The moment I move the cursor  through the population window I lose it..... Very odd.
