    Golden tree of Lothlorien . The mallorn was a great and beautiful tree. Its bark was smooth and silver-grey. The leaves of the mallorn turned golden in autumn. The golden leaves remained on the tree through the winter and fell to cover the ground in the spring. Then new leaves sprouted - green on top and silver underneath - and golden flowers bloomed on the branches.

    Mallorn-trees originally grew on Tol Eressea, the island off the coast of Aman in the Undying Lands. Mallorn-trees may also have grown in the realm of Gondolin in Beleriand. The Elves brought mallorn-trees to the Men of Numenor and they grew on the shores around the Bay of Eldanna.

    Tar-Aldarion, the sixth King of Numenor, gave silver nuts of the mallorn as a gift to Gil-galad in Lindon in Middle-earth. The mallorn-trees did not take root in Lindon, but Galadriel brought some of the nuts to Lothlorien and planted them. Under her care, the mallorn-trees grew and flourished and Lothlorien became known as the Golden Wood.

    look for the golden tree in my next CJ...

    I also like LOTR, but may I ask, why are you using SimMars for this? Seems that it would be simpler just to switch back to regular SC4 for a project such as this...

    wow, I am stunned by the effort put forth for such a CJ as this.  I am trying to start a CJ from scratch myself (terraforming a large region by hand and what not) and RLS always slows me down.  How do you find the time to do such a wonderful project?

    The four Hobbits returned home. Sam was delighted to find Bill the Pony alive at Bree. But trouble awaited them in the Shire: Saruman and his minions had taken over, and many trees had been felled to make way for industry as Sam had seen in his vision in the Mirror. The Hobbits routed the invaders and Sam set to work restoring his beloved Shire to its natural bucolic state. He carefully spread the grains of soil that Galadriel had given him around the Shire and he planted the mallorn seed where the Party Tree had once stood. In the spring of 3020 - 1420 by Shire Reckoning - the trees sprouted and gardens grew and the harvest was bountiful.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office />

    As Sam strolled through the Shire checking the trees that sprouted from the grains of soil given to him by Gladadriel . He was very pleased. All the trees seemed to be growing fine. Rosie went with Sam from time to time and today she was with him. Sam looked at Rosie and said,

    Foot note:

    These hobbit homes were placed next to a hill mound I will post a pic of it later. I know many people asked me some time ago how I was going to make it look like it was formed from the side of a hill. Basicly I made the hillmound then placed the hobbit homes sticking out the side of the hill.

    these lots are also all 10x10 lots so I could control what lots pop up. I will be placing some of my old hobbit homes made in the past back into this CJ...

    I hope you all enjoy the story as it unfolds. the next update will be when I have the next part of the story written. I will also be placing bits and pieces of history also....

    Sam married Rosie Cotton on May 1 of that year and they moved into Bag End with Frodo. Their daughter was born on March 25, 3021, and they named her Elanor after the flowers of Lothlorien. Sam was content, but his master was not. Frodo continued to be troubled by his wounds and his burden and decided to sail into the West and leave Middle-earth behind. Sam felt torn in two. He accompanied Frodo to the Grey Havens , and there he was parted from the master and friend he had served so faithfully. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office />

    Sam returned home to Bag End, which now belonged to him. He and Rosie had 13 children altogether. Their oldest daughter Elanor married Fastred of Greenholm , who became the Warden of Westmarch . Their daughter Goldilocks married Peregrin Took's son and heir Faramir . Sam was elected Mayor of Michel Delving in the year 6 of the Fourth Age. He served seven seven-year terms, and was made a Counsellor of the North-kingdom by Aragorn, King Elessar, in the year 13. In the year 15, the King visited the North-kingdom and gave Sam the Star of the Dunedain . Sam, Rosie and Elanor traveled to Gondor in the year 21 and stayed there for a year.

    As Merry, Pippen, and Samwise sat around the fire they talked about the old days. Remember the conspiracy we put together that really surprised Frodo Pippen said. Yes it was indeed a surprise. We had a lot of adventures on the way. We met elves and tree ents and kings and all. These will be things we will never forget. Sam sat and stared into the fire deep in thought. I do miss Frodo he thought. I wonder how his illnesses are doing. Just then a rustle in the bushes was heard. All three hobbits jumped up and looked into the bushes. It was just a bore. Well we best be back to the shire. We can take a tour of the shire while I walk you two to the next city.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Shire-May_LNX001.jpg align=baseline border=11>
    as we walk into the shire we can see the 1st set of hobbit homes accross the road you can see one of the farms.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Shire-JuLNX002.JPG align=baseline> here is the hot spring that feeds the water to the homes.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Shire-May_LNX003.jpg align=baseline>
    here we can see more of the hobbit homes and a few more farms with a small comercial section.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Bridges_LNX004.jpg align=baseline>

    here we reach the 1st of 2 bridges leading to the east road as you can see sams planting and spreading of the soil given to him by Gladerial has done the shire well. The trees have all grown back and all is as it should be...
