Re-lotting something from the STEX

I have no experience with BAT'ing or lotting but I want to re-lot stadium to remove all parking and the trees from the open end of the stadium.

 

With no experience, and no clue what I'm doing, but a willingness to read/follow directions is this feasible? I really have very little interest in MAKING anything, but being able to make tweaks for these sorts of situations would be really handy.

 

P.S. By removing the parking and trees, ideally the resulting lot would have a smaller footprint.

Yeah lotting is pretty easy.  I personally find it to be kind of tedious but once you open the program you can pretty much tell what you need to do.

I think you want the second download, the "Building Architect Tool".  You'll see it includes an updated version of the lot editor, and the plugin manager.  The first download (the plain ol' lot editor) appears to be an out of date version.

Thanks for the quick response, but I think you meant to include a link! I found the "get your maxis files here" thread and followed the links to the "Screwpile" page. If that isn't the right place....let me know. Otherwise, thanks for your help!

That's one of the places that has the legitimate files, so you can download safely from there.

 

Once I'm here, I might as well add: Should you want to share a tweaked/altered lot with the community, you can do so by uploading the actual lot you made, and linking to the required building (the stadium, in this case) as an external dependeny. It's against STEX policy to include a BAT made by others in your upload unless you have the creator's explicit permission.
