Tips on writing a City Journal?

This might be in the wrong place, please move it if it is.

I have pictures for the city of Saturnia, and I have some questions on writing a city journal.

1. Is entry number 1 best written when the city is founded or later on when the city has grown?

2. How long should it be?

3. What is well received and what is not?

Other tips are appreciated

If you have a look at the myriad CJs, you'll find:

1. some from when the city was founded, and some from later;

2. long ones and short ones;

3. some well received and some not.

You'll also find every combination of the above, and everything in between, which just goes to show that there is no formula for CJing.

Its better just to decide what you want to do with it and show that.

@max333: If I understood well, you're trying to update the picture using the "attach file" or something like this option, included on the CJ software. This is a very common mistake by non-experience users, don't worry.

In order to see the image in all its glory and upload a lot of them without limits, you must host your pictures on an image-hosting website (Imageshack, Photobucket, Majhost just to name a few...) and then, paste the link the website gives you onto your CJ between the %7Boption%7D tags.

There is a rather tiny space per user designed to hold minor stuff.  Pictures can be placed in abundance on an external site (as noted above) then you can place as many as you want in a post.  I don't think there is a specific limit.  Please make them .jpg for faster loading.  PNGs take forever.
