Hi, I join recently and a long time Simcity fan. I've played through out the years PS1 simcity, DS Simcity, Simcity 3000, Simcity 4, and the new Simcity. I am just wondering what exsacly is this website? It is not the offical Simcity website? Sorry if this is a not a nessesary post.

Yes, there is a thing called city journals where you post pictures and talk about your city. There are also show us your...(power plants for example) where you post pictures of that object.

We discuss and show off our cities. Talk about city-building techniques. Post and discuss mods, images, videos and other things. Offer assistance and guidance to weary SC players. And also talk about other random things. This place is a safe haven for city building players from around the world. We're a friendly community =)

This kind of post (and others) does make me wonder what the forums are for and what is allowable or verboten. I think you need to not upset the status quo. If you do you may need to go elsewhere. 'Friendly' seems to mean permitted.

There are actual rules, which users tend to ignore.

 

We have topic threads for major topics and you aren't allowed to derail threads either.

Also posting similar threads and constantly posting about the same topic again and again aren't allowed.

 

This goes for all forums not just here.

 

Also many users including staff grew tired of those who would enter a thread about Simcity 2013 only to go post about how they hate the game and hate those who play it.

 

 

As long as you keep on topic and keep your posts decent in nature, you shouldn't have any problems.

I picked up the quote I used from a recent thread where a guy was trying to say 'what I wanted.' He got lots of nasty and rude replies, and yet when the board police showed up they didn't say a word about the replies to his post but rather suggested his post was out of place! This seemed wrong to me so I made my post above with that still in the front of my mind. Didn't mean to offend and would be most contrite if I was ever rude to anyone.

You play Defcon, as in the nuclear war game? (Judging by the fact that your user name is Nuclear-ID I believe so) So do I (only the deterrence mod though).
