Mayor Rating plummetting....

WHY does it keep doing that? Every time I try to build, the mayor rating just starts plummeting to neutral and into the negatives. Someone PLEASE help me!!!

No, I have none of the mayor rating decreasing lots...
all of my utilities, civic buildings, etc are perfectly fine. All of my peoples (the dudes in the mayor panel lol) are appearantly happy.... what's wrong?????

Edit: Sorry, I've been in a very bad mood today, I've been stressed out about schoolwork, I'm tired, confused, and aangry, and I can't control my anger today for some reaosn.

There's no need to get angry, panthersimcity4.  If someone knew the answer, they would respond.  Maybe the people who know the answer just haven't found this thread yet.  I, personally, don't know the answer.  Sorry.

That said, you have not given enough to work with, saying everything is fine, but you still have mayor rating failure.  Do you have things that increase mayor rating?  Do you have air, or water polution?  Are your transits congested?  How are the commute times.  It takes more than utilities, and basic schools to raise the rating.  Libraries, parks, high school, worship places, cemetary, all kinds of ammenities.  If the sims are happy the mayor rating goes up.

Is it the Republic of Lenida that you are having mayor issue's with?

 

I took a look at your CJ and you may not have enough ingame development.  It's hard to tell by a few images.

 

EDIT: just don't show your mayor rating, and continue with the city until you notice other things going downhill.

I've had this happen twice before since I've started playing...  All of a sudden, my mayor rating simply plummets.  I'm not sure what causes it, perhaps it's the interaction of two custom lots (I've never figured out which ones), but all I did was leave my city and not save (yeah, it sucked, because I had just played for like 2 hours, and I HADN'T saved before that, so I lost my revisions, but I still had my city).  I think, if you've saved with the low mayor rating, then you'll have to just start over.  The key is to save often, so if something outside your control DOES happen (such as this, which doesn't seem to have any cause and can't really be prevented, for some reason) you can simply start back where you were.

I have had this problem....so what I did was add more transpertaion to the city and added more parks....it seemed to work.

Decrease pollution and add a whole damn lot of parks. Hell with whatever decrease in Industrial and Commercial demand . Because it's the residents that rate you. See? If they're complaining on no jobs, place a monorial to connect an industrial zone to your residents. Monorials do not have congestions and they're by far the fastest means of transportation. It's worth the price. Add whatever rewards you earn because they WILL increase Mayor Rating. Try not to get high wealth because they are real naggers. It's very hard to satisfy them.

Another way is to add Landmarks. They should increase your MR unless you decrease maintainance funds by too much.

Of course, your mayor rating is a average.  If you use the mayor rating display, you may find the problem is in one or a few neighborhoods.  You can then concentrate your efforts on these.

If you are having real trouble in a specific locale, inject a mySim into it, and see what it says.
