Contest idea

It would be fun to have a contest for SC4 Mac players. One idea I have is for participants to start a region from scratch and see how long it takes to reach a region population of 1,000,000 people. I guess the moderator would have to jump in here and help if there would be enough interest and how to go about actually doing the contest. When would the contest officially start? Would mods be allowed? Would files need to be submitted? Does this interest any Mac users here or does anyone have anotheer idea for a contest?

It's an interesting idea, but logisitcally, it might be impossible. I'm afraid it would be difficult for anyone to prove that a contestants started with a blank region.

Yeah, you're probably right. I guess I'll just do it for myself. I've always wanted to see 1,000,000 people in the region population total. The big question is

Hey, just out of curiosity, how does one take pictures to complete a City/Region Journal? It would be nice to have a progress log for everyone to see.

Probably just easier to take a screenshot of your city. You can do this on any Mac by pressing command+shift+3. The picture will automatically appear on your desktop as a png file.

This is the Mac way of taking a picture, not the SimCity way, which does leave behind icons.

That is true when you are in a city view, but not when you are in the region view.
