Rail tunnel glitch?

Hi guys,

 

Got a Newbie problem with rail tunnels. Have followed various tutorials about using the digger tool and it works fine for roads, but won't work for rail. I've tried all of the different depths and rises, I can do it with roads but get a red line if I try to do it with rail. I have the full Nam installed, but the rail tunnel just won't work. Am I missing an addon or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated as my gamplay is severly hindered by this problem
