Are transit textures mirrored by the game?

I'd like to create a prop replacement mod, but despite thorough analysis of existing replacement mods and search around the net, I must come to the conclusion I don't understand how to do one.

Ok, say I want to replace the maxis stop sign (ID# 1dd60000) with girafe's stop sign (ID #7a0926d7) without touching the T21 exemplars, how do I do that? I have no problem to modify textures but props seem to be another story, so any help is very welcomed.

Thanks

I started creating T21 exemplars for a street mod, but it seems I can't find some textures in order to assign the correct network ID to the exemplar

Here is a texture I can't find its "mirrored" counterpart:

This leaves me wondering if the game mirrors some textures to gain filesize, is this the case? I already set mirroring to that specific exemplar but the props are appearing only on the matching texture, meaning I have them only when going left.

Anybody has some insight on this?

    In most situations, such as that one, there aren't separate textures for mirrored versions.  The mirroring is handled by the RUL files.

    Thank you for your answer Tarkus. So I believe there's no easy workaround for a situation like this...annoying.

    There's actually a property in the T21 exemplars that handles mirroring: FlipsAllowed.

    These are the accepted values:

    0x00= Both
    0x01= Mirrored
    0x02 = Non Mirrored

    Well, it seems that Tarkus already has answered your questions:

    - Yes, textures can be flipped. This is quite a common practice when it comes to curves and intersections

    - The T21 exemplar property FlipsAllowed is controlling if T21 appear on mirrored, non-mirrored or both tiles.

    I should have specified, but the FlipsAllowed property was already set to 0x00. What I had to do since I wanted another prop on the mirrored tile, is create 2 exemplars sharing the same tile ID, with one property set to mirrored and the other  to non-mirrored. But that wasn't enough, the T21 set  to mirrored wouldn't refer to the prop, so I had to edit the prop exemplar and add a RKT1xm to make it work (thanks to memo for the trick).

    Anyway, I have 2 more questions :D

    1. Is it possible to create T21s for NAM smooth curves? If so, does it work with the same method? I can't find network ID for these

    2. I want to add a T21 to the street roundabout. I searched for roundabout exemplars and couldn't find the simple street roundabout. So I created a T21 with network id corresponding to this network

    1. Yes, you can create T21s for the smooth curves. However, you need to reference to the IID of the Puzzle Piece Exemplar instead and it's often the same as the S3D model IID this exemplar references to.

    2. May I see your T21 entry? This might help to find out what the problem is.

    I wanted to upload the dat but the site won't let me, hope it's enough for you to see what the problem is.

    I've been able to locate the model files for the smooth curves, I presume that each "tile" or segment has its own IID, that will make things a bit more complicated, anyway cheers for your help Marteen, its appreciated
