Hello, I'm planing to make some "Lets play SimCity" videos for YouTube once I get the game.

Can anyone here tell me a good easy to use/edit Recorder program I can use with it?

For something dead simple to use, I'd suggest Fraps. It even lets you record your microphone along with the sound of the game these days.

Thanks all. I'll probably cut my videos into 30min sections. Do I need any special video editing software for Fraps, and/or Mirillis?

Or will Windows MovieMaker be fine?

With Fraps it would be advisable to put it through a video editor of some kind even if you aren't cutting up the video, simply because the videos it spits out are huge, and would be impractical for uploading.

You should use Sony Vegas Pro 10 for editing your gameplay. If you cant afford it look for a portable version on youtube. Hoped it helped you!

 

Dxtory could be something good for recording as it is much more configurable, as you can choose the frame rates and much much more!

I have used a lot of tools but MSI afterburner was the best by far and when you see that it's totally free, with updates every few weeks, you won't look back.
