Traffic issues in big city

Hello

 

I am beginning to near the 500k people mark, currently at 461k. But I am beginning to get some traffic issues ever since I've upgraded to high density streets.

 

I have no 4 way intersections. I have busses and street cars, round corners when needed. My main pobulation class is $ and $$. 

 

My current layout is on the picture.

 

Do you have any advice for me, so I can hit the 500k, or even my goal at 600k?

EDIT: Theres not much traffic on this pic, because I quickly loaded up the game to get a screen shot, and, this isn't the worst traffic congestion I've managed to get.
