I am having problems making a profit. Any tips?

I couldn't agree less. This game does feel broken. Even tough I did not know about SC4 untill I found it somewhere, and got it. I agree that it is horrible that train tracks end up in the middle of nowhere. I also dislike that everything needs a road for it to be connected, which means, you don't really need the big 16x maps, when you can do just fine with a 4 - 5 player map, because here you are at least connected by road, which leades to more interactivity between the cities.

I am having troubble sending or recieving students from other cities.

Hello I am beginning to near the 500k people mark, currently at 461k. But I am beginning to get some traffic issues ever since I've upgraded to high density streets. I have no 4 way intersections. I have busses and street cars, round corners when needed. My main pobulation class is $ and $$. My current layout is on the picture. Do you have any advice for me, so I can hit the 500k, or even my goal at 600k? /Splint EDIT: Theres not much traffic on this pic, because I quickly loaded up the game to get a screen shot, and, this isn't the worst traffic congestion I've managed to get.

I am also having issues with the trade port's rail connection. I turned it of for some reason, and when I turned it back on, no train ever arrived.

I am having a huge commuting problem; i got almost 9,000 $ workers commuting into my city. This makes no sense, because I got unemployeement in my city of $ workers. (Around 2,000) so the commuting people just put pressure on my system that I can not afford. Given this, it is also wierd, because I checked all the cities connected to mine, and they have no traffic issues, what so ever, plus, they have under 100 people commuting out (In total!) This leades me to my trading port, which seems not to be working due to: A) Trucks are holding in the gerage B) Got a trade port with a train port attached, and NO trains are arriving. I have set it to export, and I surely have the supply to export, but no trains are arriving, and the trucks, (some of them leave, but it looks like they are in the garage), are stuck in the horrible commuting traffic. Anyone knows how to fix this??

Hello I am currently playing in a region with my friend, and we agreed that I took care of the utilities, and he took care of something else. We're playing on the Whitewater map Now I ran into a problem, because we currently have 4 cities in total (all connected by road), and I wanted to start a new city, so I did, and I wanted to buy the services of my utilities city, but even tough they are located right next to eachother. (Utilitiy city 4, and new city 5). So, then I build my own utilities, even tough the city 4 have the capasity to supply all the cities with power, and more. (Fully upgraded 1st gen Nuclear Powerplant with 600 mW excess.) I also tried to send some money to city 5, but I never recieved them on city 4. Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?
