Why No Jobs!?

So i recently went back to play some sc4 and i came across this problem. NO jobs....... industry is right there and there is no demand for it, i gave them buses, schools, police, parks ... anyone got any tips ?

Do you have If not, I suggest you to download it, because that mod fix the broken maxis pathfinding system and also many other bugs in the game.

try dragging the side streets all the way across the avenue so the sims dont have to drive all the way to the end of the avenue to cross the street

 

since you have no demand for jobs its a transportation problem. Also you should follow jasons advice and download NAM(Traffic fix mod), even if you want to keep the game as "vanilla" as possible.

 

edit: Do you have any neighbouring cities? try removing all road connections out of the city and see what happends

Yup, NAM will fix this for sure.  No reason it should be like that for you.  Just get the NAM and all those problems just go away.  Good luck!

 

Caution:  You might have to start that city over again, new city after installing the NAM, possibly, at least be prepared for it if indeed it is necessary.

If you have no working plugins, it may be because you haven't updated your game.  What version does it show when you query the SimCity 4.exe file?

I do use nam network, and industry doubler. Hmm ill try draging streets through the avenue but I think streets or dirt road, what ever the cheapest one, does not go through avenue, it seems like it does but traffic would only flow one way, ill try upgrading to actual roads, see if it works. Btw I did initially built industry in neighbor city and I had same problem, I switched on same map and still same problem. Thanks for tups guys, once I get home ill try it out.

Ok i been tweaking around and this is the fix i came up with. Its stupid but it works.
