Hi.

Just tried making my first Building. But I have issues with quality. It doesn't matter if I choose low or high quality in the export.

So I'm probably doing something wrong. Any advice?

The BAT does not produce HD items.  So please explain what level of pixel density you are seeking?

I'm just playing around with this and don't know what to expect. But I guess I should be able to produce something just as nice as other people do or at least as good as the Maxis Buildings.

I've read several Places that it should be possible to adjust the quality of the LODs but not exactly how to.

Try the BAT open discussion forum.

I guess it would be easier if a moderator just moved the topic to the right spot.

The high quality setting is slightly better than the low quality setting.

You can make Maxis quality buildings but that's not from the export settings, that's from the quality of your modeling and texturing.  :)

Well my Building is a lot nicer than the export, so what do I need to do?

How's your polygon count?  If it is too high the BAT export will try to reduce it.

That is not a problem.  With software this old, and no one maintaining it, I am afraid you are stuck with what you get.

How's that related to quality settings? I'm asking for advice about what parameters controls the output.

Well, I haven't done any new BATs for years.  However, the ones that I have produced are OK on my screens (1920 x 1080 software mode).  Here is a link to one of mine, and you can use it to find the others.
