-> i dont know whats still working in 1.8 and i dont know if the "Fix for game browser, show empty/abandoned slots" has become obsolete. Take care using them. And some features of the Debug UI are irreversible.

It shows the debug buttons but everytime I click on it it says "categorytitle" or something like that and that's it. I'm not the only one having this problem.

Please note to use the bag of trix regional stuff, go to the region menu.  There should be 3 buttons on the bottom of the menu that pops up.  Click the middle one.  You will now be able to build regional roads.
