when i click on the simcity 2013 icon on my desktop, it wont take me straight into the games...how do i get into the actual game?

I think you have to wait for the launcher. After that just pick a region and press the play button.

If you can hear the music but the game isn't starting, you can try turning off programs that have overlays for showing frame rate(FRAPS, RIVA, MSI afterburner ect.)

 

If that doesn't work, turn off origin overlay as well. Origin/Account Settings/In game/ uncheck first option
