ok so i have recently built a massive power plant to run over a 1000s mw but yet i cannot supply enough to my other 2 city the max i have seen transfer was 245mw....this is the same with water i have plenty of it but my other city keep running out but i have made sure i have alot of it ...........now im forced to add power stations to every city and water treatment plants..this isnt right the transfer cap should be higher as when transfering power the other citys pay for it anyway

has anyone else had this problem,,,needs to resolved

I think I know what you mean, I saw this in my other city where I was trying to send power from my oil plant. It was connected to two other cities.  The maximum I could send one city was 1/2 of the total power (75mW out of the total 150mW the power plant had).  I guess they divide the power by the number of cities you are connected to?

This cap happened to us as well. I have a region with my friend (Reflection Atoll, where 7 cities can be interconnected.) I can't buy enough water from my friend's city and he can't buy enough electricity. Annoying.

What's the cap? I would suspect a divide as well too.

it sucks i am having to build more plants in diffrent cities which defeats the purpose of buying power and selling power same with water and sewage

Although in my brother's region I could buy electricity and export sewage without a problem.

As discussed in other threads, the power you can export is evenly divided by the number of cities in your region. It doesn't matter if one city doesn't need any, and another city needs a lot, you can't decided to give one city more power than another.

If that doesn't make sense, I like this really basic analogy: I have 3 cookies and 2 friends, lets call them Kevin and Ben. I need one cookie for myself, and can give one each to Kevin and Ben. But Kevin doesn't want any cookies, and Ben wants 2 for himself. Guess what? SimCity logic PREVENTS me from giving 2 cookies to Ben. Why? I have absolutely no clue, why would they make that a game limitation?

Same goes for water and sewage too. This really does wind up making region trade of utilities pointless, because I have to keep beefing up the power plant in one city, such that its producing 300+ mW surplus just because one town needs a little more than its "equal fair share"
