Time to update the statistics in the region.

Hello friends, this is my first topic with a question that has haunted me in the last hours of gameplay.

My doubt is about the time it takes to update the "statistics" in the region, I will cite an example.

I have a city, so I put the city in the city, update the city with the tourism department. After a few minutes I'm going to another town in the same region. When I arrive in a new city, it appears that I updated my city, and it takes a long time to recognize that the second city I updated the first city in the prefecture. Anyway, after a while, it appears that already has the tourism department in the region.

Another thing is that I put a sewage treatment system, the second city, but not the first city recognizes that sewage treatment is the second city, then do not ask how I got the second city to take my sewer, it vai already more or less 40 minutes of play, and not recognizing the system of sewage treatment in the nearby town.

Any help I can do to speed up this time "update between cities"?

Sorry for my English.
Thank you!

You can try to update between cities by logging out and back in again from both cities.

Log out from city 1. Log in. Switch to city 2. Log out of city 2. Log in. Your two cities should be synced up (providing the server is working properly). There is still some region latency and you may have to wait to account for this latency.

You have to wait for the servers to process your update, which could take a few hours.  The way it has been explained, you send updates of your city to a main server (cluster of servers) that forwards the updates to other servers for processing.  The problem right now is that the main server is being overloaded so it is constantly backed up with updates from hundreds of players.  This is why features like cheetah speed were disabled, to reduce the amount of updates and work that needs to be done by the main forwarding server.  Even if you played an entire region locally, your cities within a region gets all its updates remotely and will not get them locally.

Nope.  Nothing can speed it up.  Blame EA.  Just sit and wait.

As far as I know that won't work.  The way they have the servers set up is at set intervals the server will send regional data to the client to be updated.  If you quit your city, the server will simply save your city, but won't update it with regards to regional information.  You have to sit and just wait until the server updates your city.

I am having this same problem, in single player (if you can call it that !) I am trying to develop different cities across a region but for example I upgrade to city hall at pop. 5000 and add a department of transport then add a passenger railway station to the same city. next I go to the other cities and try to add a passnger railway station to begin commuting between the cities but it always says the passenger railway station is not available, city hall required in region and department of transportation required in region. Can anyone please explain what is going on here, could it be this update to the servers issue ?

Let me quote what I wrote eariler in another thread, just replace 'Great Works' with [insert thing I want one city to see that comes from another city]:

It has to do with how EA's servers process SimCity data.  You see, despite all their claims that this is a multi-player game, The core game itself is single player.  That means that each city is in essence, a contained environment, unaffected by other cities or the region itself.  The illusion of online play comes from the regions.  The regional data is stored on the server.  From what I understand, at set intervals, most likely somewhere in the realm of minutes, the server will sync with all the cities in the region.  This illusion holds up pretty well until everyone wants to collaborate on building something like a great work (or one person building it alone).

If one city starts a great work the other cities might not yet registered it.  And if the other cities are offline they won't register it until they are played again.  So if you happen to fuel a great work's resources with one city and than hop to another city, it will not have been built yet.  You have to wait an indeterminate amount of time until EA's server deiced to update your city regarding the status of the great work.  This applies to ALL stages of the great work, including power and water.  To make matters worse, even if you are connected and are updated, the great work's status itself does not update until the end of the day, meaning that for players who do not understand these mechanics to constantly hop between cities and missing out on the update timer, making the status of the great work inconsistent across all cities.

In regards to fueling the great work with water and power.  First check that you do have enough power and water combined between all your cities that are connected to the great work.  Then just sit in one city until EA's server feels like updating the city, than move to another city and repeat.  If you do this, all your cities will sooner or later be updated with the great work's new build status.

Oh and pray that EA's server doesn't feel like crashing or not saving your progress because than you need to wait in each city again.

Thanks Zades.

The update yesterday seems to have resolved all the issues I was having but it can still take an age for them to come through from the EA servers ... my god, what were they thinking ? !!!
