Welcome to Simtropolis!

No, You can't just send money just that quick to a struggling city, however, if the struggling city has surplus supplies, they can sell them to raise cash.

In other words, you can only be able to get city loans from 'SimNation Savings and Loans'. But then, it's about 8.5% extra to pay back once you take it out, and I can't get loans less than $5000

If your power stations or water pumps/towers are producing more than you need, create a power line or water pipe from your city to an edge connecting to the city you want to sell too. Then go to the budget window, and click on 'Neighbour Deals'. A window pops up that allows you to select the ammount to buy/sell. The game is made so that you'll make a profit, and not spend more on producing that you get from selling.
When you go to the other city, some power lines/pipes will have appeared along the border. Connect them up to your city, and that's all there is to it!
You can also start/edit the deal from the buying city, or cancel it at any point without pebnalty. Also, neighbor connections cost no more than just building the power lines/pipes would anyway.
Using this method, two cities can share power and water facilities.44.gif
Oh, and you can connect cities with roads and railways too, for garbage deals.

quote> As others have said, you can't but what you can do is try to boost your monthly income to make money instead of losing it. Demolish any mass transit that is not used. If you have a train system and only 5 people use in in the whole city then it is pointless and is wasting money. Grow your RCI in order to generate more tax revenue. However do not raise taxes so demand is stunted. Also, only give your sims services as they need them. Do not give them water until you can afford it or you want to get a few high rises. Do not provide policemen until you can afford the extra cost.

The idea of loaning money to a struggling city was what those banks that smoncrie linked to were created for.  While I have never gotten them to work as planned, they can create instant money on the spot.  I have gotten myself out of some tight fixes with those banks.

Way to go, BSC!44.gif10.gif

Take a look at these lots in the STEX:

BSC Ultimate Budget Tool Metropolis Bank ver. 1

BSC Ultimate Budget Tool Suburbs Bank ver. 1

Both are by daeley

They look good ... I'm not quite sure I am ready for that yet ... but just out of interest for future reference ...
do they need anything else with those or can I just add them as they are? ... I am a bit confused with Bats and Lots.

I have put one Lot in my Documents / Plug ins folder and that seemed to work ... it was an art museum ... would this go in the same folder and do I need anything else with that or is it complete as it is? Thanks.

Absolutely everything, unless otherwise specified in the README that should have come with any files that you download, goes into the Plugins folder.

In the future, if you have something that you forgot to say in your post, please use the Edit Post button to include what you forgot to say.  Except for certain instances, double posting is frowned upon here at ST.

Well I'll keep that in mind for future reference.1.gif

The reason I double posted was because I didn't know how to quote from two different people in the same post, it wasn't really a case of forgetting to say something it was that I was responding to two different people.

It might seem kinda stupid to anyone who has been around for a long time, but I'm really not very experienced with forums or Sim City.

But thanks for the info on the bats and lots. 44.gif

You can't quote two people in the same post unless you manually insert the quoting codes.  The codes are
