Check out this dude's crazy gaming setup; he uses three monitors, has an insane water-cooled PC that looks like a mini fridge, overclocks, and has a nice camera to record it all: The Surround Gamer

 

Makes me jelly, very much jelly!  Wish I had a setup like this, I mean, look at this wild crap!!:

I suspect the gentleman has more money than brains.  Gaming doesn't require a set up like Mission Control in Huston.  Think of the maintenance.

It is not just the three monitors it is the gear to drive such a travesty.  Just how big this guy's rig is, is anybody's guess.  Must have a budget like NASA.

It doesn't have to be any bigger than mine (I have a standard ATX case).  If I wanted to get the graphics cards for it, I could power a 6 monitor setup.  The really good motherboards have room for 3 or 4 graphics cards now.

 

EDIT: With the right motherboard and graphics card combo, I could probably power 16 monitors, though that would require designing everything around supporting those monitors.

I see those three monitors and think of the wide vistas in SC4 I can zone and build without needing to scroll! :D I don't understand the appeal of first-person shooters and I shan't ever :P
