I think they're amusing, but unless you were working in a creative design field (such as advertising), I don't see how they would show off your skills. Still a cool effort though.

I do find the second one interesting as I actually like to keep my Facebook page showcasing me as a resume (well the public bit everyone can see), so if potential employers want to search me, they will get a good impression

Oh boy, the rat race has sure changed.  Every job I got when I was starting out was a result of walking in and asking for a job.  Never used a resume, ever.  Times sure have changed since 1956.

I only got my recent job by making it a habit to walk in once a week and "ask" them repeatedly for the job. Ended up working though!

Too true, and I think a lot of people don't realise that these days. Interestingly enough, it was the only job I applied for that I enquired about more than once and they were the only one to give me a call back.
